Supervision
Supervision is a
necessary, valuable and growth oriented process beneficial for
all helping professionals. The supervisory relationship will
foster the exploration and development of the helper's style as
well as a maintain a forum for the ongoing focus on learning,
practicing and maintaining a true client directed style.
By maintaining a
strong focus on the Common Factors that are responsible for
positive counseling outcome, the supervisee will learn to honor
these factors, maintain an ongoing dialogue with clients about
the therapeutic alliance, and privilege the client's theory of
change.
Dalton has
extensive experience with children, adolescents, families and
substance abuse concerns. In addition, he can assist the helper
interested in becoming
Client Directed and Outcome Informed
in their counseling practice.
Dalton offers clinical supervision for
interns in graduate programs and anyone seeking licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
